The Twins were partying at the plate last night, as they waxed the Yanks 8-2, but the loss wasn’t all Vazquez.  Just mostly.  The pitcher gave up 5 runs in 5.2 innings, but seemed proud of himself, for “battling.”

Though Vazquez developed a blister on his pitching finger in last week’s victory over the Mets at Citi-field, he was pronounced healthy, he declared himself healthy…he just pitched poorly.

He now sports a 3-5 record and a 6.86 E.R.A., and the Yankees, who were once 22-8, are now 28-19.  Very poor.
