Darrelle Revis (above).

On the heels of the news of their PSL fiasco and possible home television blackouts if personal seat licenses go unsold, are the Jets playing it cheap with cornerback Darrelle Revis, the team’s best player?

Revis, speaking in between offseason conditioning sessions yesterday at the Jets’ Florham Park, N.J., facility, didn’t come out and threaten to hold out of training camp, but he dropped this hint: “We’ll figure it out when [the start of camp] comes.”

Revis said he “believes [the Jets] at their word.” But he quickly added, “When you go back on your word it’s a problem.”

This news follows the word that the Jets passed on to All Pro defensive end, Shaun Ellis, that they refused to extend his contract, citing an internal team policy under which the Jets say they do not renegotiate the contracts of veteran players, but rather, have them play out their current contracts before discussing new ones.

We feel the Jets and Ellis, rumored to be cut at the NFL draft, will part ways at the end of his deal, if not sooner.
