Novak Djokovic’s week wasn’t a total washout it seems, after being upset in the singles competition at Queen’s Club by Xavier Malisse.  Djokovic was also entered in doubles, with veteran doubles player and doubles specialist Jonathan Erlich, who won the 2008 Australian Open doubles championship with fellow Israeli Andy Ram, the same tournament where Djokovic won his only major.

In the finals, Djokovic and Erlich came from behind to beat Karol Beck and David Skoch 6-7 (6), 6-2, 10-3 in what is Djokovic’s first doubles title at the tour level.  For Djokovic, the 201st ranked doubles player in the world, the win is in the very least a good sign for his confidence going into Wimbledon.
