According to the New York Post’s Page Six gossip column, house music producer/deejay Steve Angello from the group Swedish House Mafia, encouraged the beautiful women at Provocateur’s Halloween party in New York City’s meatpacking district to dance the other night by taking out his black Amex card and promising any woman who broke off her heels a brand new pair of Christian Louboutins.

The producer/DJ made an appearance at Manhattan’s trendy Provocateur venue last week (ends31Oct10) to premiere the group’s new documentary Take One.

The screening was followed by a masquerade-themed afterparty, and Angello encouraged female revellers to take part by ordering them to take off their high heels and dance barefoot.

The star then held up his credit card and and promised to buy all of the ladies a new pair of designer shoes, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

He reportedly said, “There are so many beautiful women here that I want you all to break off your high heels right now so you can dance. I promise to buy you all a brand new pair of Christian Louboutins in the morning.”

Angello doesn’t bother us with his electro-house style, but we prefer the tribal beats, truth be told.  At any rate, we know SHM to be a popular act locally which has gained much fame in recent years.  Nice move on the shoe offer, Steve.  We’ll be sure to check out Take One when we can, though we aren’t sure how it could possibly have anything on house music documentaries about our favorites–Danny Tenaglia and Saeed and Palash.
